Summer Beauty Tip # 3: Use Gel Manicure & Pedicure for Summer Travels

ImageThis summer everyone is going to get their GEL manicure and pedicure right before they leave for vacations! Acrylic nails are a thing of the past, and now it’s all about getting the gel manicure and pedicure.

Gel has been trending for quite some time because it offers so many great benefits. The Gel lasts for about two to three weeks, which is conveniently the amount of time for a summer vacation. You can leave right after and even go swimming without damaging it!

The Spa at PGA National offers Gel manicure and pedicures with the OPI GelColor line. Angie Rawlins Nail Technician from the Spa at PGA National highly recommends using the Gel for your summer manicure and pedicure.

“Normally you have to wait at least a half hour for your nails to dry with a regular manicure, but with the Gel manicure or pedicure you can leave as soon as possible,” Rawlins said.

Once you get back from your summer travels, it’s very important to make the second appointment for soaking off the gel. The “soak off” normally takes anywhere between 10-15 minutes. “Peeling off the gel by yourself will dry off your nail because you’re also peeling off little layers of your nails when the gel is being removed,” Rawlins said.

So, make sure to stop by the Spa at PGA National for all of your Gel manicure & pedicure needs!

P.S. If you’re having trouble with picking out a color, just remember that bright and florescent are totally in this summer. Any kind of neon or bright gel color will make compliment your summer tan.
